The Icy Truth
Two explanations for why people get sick — and the entire system of allopathic medicine rests on one of them being right. We're testing both, by the same rules, and following where the evidence actually leads.
Germ Theory
The claim: germs CAUSE the disease. Pasteur held that the microbe is the origin of the illness — it arrives from outside, invades healthy tissue, and produces the disease. No germ, no disease; introduce the germ, and sickness follows. The microbe is the agent of harm.
Terrain Theory
The claim: germs REMEDY the disease. Béchamp held the opposite — the microbe doesn't start the illness, it answers it. Germs are generated within the body itself, from the terrain's own microzymas, when the terrain is compromised — produced internally to resolve the damage, debris or obstacles. That clean-up work can itself produce the symptoms we call disease — but those symptoms mark repair underway, not invasion.
